Utwory bonusowe to coś co zawsze stanowi miłą niespodziankę a czasem nawet najlepszą treść na danej płycie. W 2012 roku sporo mówiło się o znanej przepowiedni Majów odczytywanej jako możliwy koniec świata zapisany w ich kalendarzu na ten rok. Przypadek sprawił, że także w 2012 roku ukazała się także płyta projektu GOTARD "Gaia" poświęcona Matce Ziemi. Obok oryginalnej wersji digital dostępnej na 3Loop.org ukazało się także specjalne wydanie CD z plakatem oraz trzema bonusowymi utworami dostępnymi tylko na płycie CD. Klip do bonusowego "Hope Never Dies" stał się podsumowaniem naszej działalności i podziękowaniem dla wszystkich przyjaciół oraz fanów.
Mniej znane dwa mocno eksperymentalne utwory pozostały trochę w cieniu pozostałych kompozycji;
"Nihilum"
pod wieloma względami był najbardziej wyjątkowym także poprzez sposób w jaki został stworzony.
Na ścieżce do tego utworu słychać wyraźne przesunięcia; kiedy dopasujemy metronom do tempa rytmu, szybko nabierzemy wrażenia, że po paru taktach tempo przestanie sie zgadzać. To iluzja, odniesiemy wrażenie, że cos jest nie tak ale tempo pozostanie nienaruszone. To był celowy zabieg ale wynikał także ze sposobu nagrywania utworu. W procesie tworzenia nie było tu klasycznego moetronomu, rytmike wyznaczał powtarzający się melodyczny motyw dźwiękowy słyszalny na początku utworu. Ten motyw kończył się troche nierówno (nie był całkiem zapętlony) ale w ramach eksperymentu także nachodzący po dłuższym czasie trwania utworu rytm/bit został dopasowany do motywu z uwzględnieniem tych drobnych przesunięć.
Pozorny brak zupełnego zapętlenia miał sie kojarzyć trochę tak jak delikatna arytmia serca i miał wywoływać symboliczny niepokój podoobnie jak tytuł utworu;
Pomimo tego, że żyjemy w świecie pełnym innych bytów to każdy z nas w jakimś sensie pozostaje sam w swoim uniwersum a życie każdego z nas zależy od najdrobniejszych decyzji. Każde "potknięcie" wybija nas z rytmu życia i drogi do harmonii z naturą i własnym gatunkiem. Jednocześnie jeśli oddalamy się od tego celu, przybliżamy się do... nieplanowanego przedwczesnego końca naszej drogi. Ważne jest to w jaki sposób postrzegamy otaczający nas świat bo od tego zależy "rytm" życiowej drogi każdego z nas.
Anihilacja to niezwykłe pojęcie związane z fizyka kwantową, kojarzy się z nasza nierozerwalna więzią ze światem a jednocześnie kruchością naszego bytu ale i wizją tego, że energia w każdym z nas pozostanie obecna długo po nas a może nawet przekształci się w inny byt, rodzaj materii a może nawet nową żywą istotę.
Nie rozumiemy jeszcze szerokiego pojęcia fizyki kwantowej, która może zaprzeczac wszelkim znanym nam prawom fizyki...
Obecnie od wydania albumu "Gaia" mineło niemal 13 lat a z okazji powrotu projektu GOTARD po kilku latach przerwy poza nową płytą "Dharma" ukazały się także wznowienia kilku starszych albumów w tym LP."Gaia" z wszystkimi bonusowymi utworami dlatego teraz "Nihilum" jest dostępny na YouTube oraz we wznowionej wersji albumu na Bandcamp.

Bonus songs are something that are always a nice surprise and sometimes even the best content on a given album. In 2012, there was a lot of talk about the well-known Mayan prophecy interpreted as a possible end of the world recorded in their calendar for that year. Coincidentally, the GOTARD project album "Gaia" dedicated to Mother Earth was also released in 2012. In addition to the original digital version available on 3Loop.org, a special CD edition was also released with a poster and three bonus tracks available only on CD. The clip for the bonus "Hope Never Dies" is a summary of our activities and a thank you to all our friends and fans.
The lesser-known two highly experimental pieces remained somewhat overshadowed by the other compositions;
"Nihilum"
In many ways it was the most unique also because of the way it was created.
There are noticeable shifts on the track to this track; when we adjust the metronome to the tempo of the rhythm, it quickly turns out that after a few bars the tempo no longer matches. This is an apparent impression, but the metronome will fit! It was intentional, but it also resulted from the way the song was recorded. There was no classic moetronome in the creation process, the rhythm was determined by a repeating melodic sound motif heard at the beginning of the piece. This motif ended a bit unevenly (it was not completely looped), but as part of the experiment, the rhythm/beat that came after a longer duration of the song was also adjusted to the motif taking into account these small shifts.
The lack of complete looping was supposed to be associated with a slight cardiac arrhythmia and was supposed to cause symbolic anxiety, just like the title of the piece;
Even though we live in a world full of other beings, each of us is, in a sense, alone in our universe and each of our lives depends on the smallest decisions. Each "stumble" throws us out of the rhythm of life and the path to harmony with nature and our own species. At the same time, if we move away from this goal, we get closer to... an unplanned, premature end of our journey. It is important how we perceive the world around us because the "rhythm" of each of us's life path depends on it.
Annihilation is an unusual concept related to quantum physics, it is associated with our inseparable bond with the world and at the same time the fragility of our existence but also the vision that the energy in each of us will remain present long after us and may even transform into another entity or life.
We do not yet understand the broad concept of quantum physics, which may contradict all known laws of physics...
Currently, almost 13 years have passed since the release of the album "Gaia" and on the occasion of the return of the GOTARD project after a break of several years, apart from the new album "Dharma", several older albums have also been reissued, including the LP "Gaia" with all the bonus tracks, so now "Nihilum" is available on YouTube and in the reissued version of the album on Bandcamp.
